Verizon Refund, Return Policy: Exchanges, Cancellations

Any wireless devices and accessories can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of your purchase. Before returning or exchanging any wireless device and accessory, you need to transfer all the data in its memory to another file source in order to retain the data. Once the wireless device or accessory is returned, your data cannot be recovered.   If you purchased the device in a Verizon Wireless store, you can return it to any Verizon Wireless store. If you purchased the device online then you can return it at verizonwireless portal.

In order to return the device to any Verizon Wireless store, you must provide the original receipt along with the restocking fee. And, the device must be in like-new condition. All the items including phone, charger, battery, instructions, etc. must be in its original box. For the online return, you must print a shipping label which is sent to your email. After that, you need to attach it to the device that you want to return. Then, you have to drop your package off at UPS Shipping Center.

You will get a complete refund only after returning the complete and undamaged equipment. If the equipment is not complete, it will be sent back to you. Purchases made by credit card will be refunded to your credit card, which will require 3 weeks. And the purchases made by cash or check will be refunded by check, which will take at least 7 weeks of time.

A restocking fee of $35 is charged for any return or exchange of a wireless device (excluding Hawaii). You can exchange your device only for one time. For offers like ‘Buy One, Get One’ you need to return both the items. Verizon return and exchange policy do not apply to customers who have purchased a Prepaid Plan. Shipping charges may also apply to exchange the device with you by Verizon Wireless. You must return the device within its return period to avoid being assessed an Early Termination Fee of $175, or $350 if you purchased an Advanced Device.
